William E. "Bill" Hanson III

William E. “Bill” Hanson III, age 43, of Wilmington, North Carolina, formerly of Chagrin Falls, Ohio.  Beloved son of William E. Hanson Jr. (Marty) and Sherry Jouannet; dearest brother of Ryan, Kelly, and Brett Hanson; dear grandson of William E. Hanson Sr. (deceased) and Ann Hanson Grimm (Adam Grimm, deceased), and the late Frank Jouannet and Mary Jouannet Fox (Holdstein Fox “Foxy”, deceased); nephew and cousin to many.  Bill graduated from Chagrin Falls High School and Ohio University with a degree in music/film production.   After college, he moved to the Washington D.C. area to pursue an opportunity in the film industry and worked part-time as a DJ at a local club.  He relocated to the sun and warm weather of Wilmington, North Carolina where he worked in the mortgage business and for many years at the Bryant Real Estate Company.  Bill loved music and studied classical guitar at the Cleveland Institute of Music.  He played in a band and loved to jam with his buddies.  Bill was thoughtful, kind, and generous.  He loved animals and Cleveland sports, particularly the Browns and the Cavaliers. Friends will be received at ST. JOHN FUNERAL HOME, 16381 CHILLICOTHE RD. (RT 306), CHAGRIN FALLS, 44023 (2.5 MILES NORTH OF RT. 422), WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 18 FROM 3 – 7 P.M.  Service and interment private. The family suggests donations to Rescue Village, 15463 Chillicothe Rd., Novelty, OH 44072 in memory of Bill.
