WILLIAM H. HEIN, SR., age 89, of Bainbridge Twp. passed away January 14, 2018 at Hillcrest Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Irene (nee Frost) for 67 years; loving father of Sharon (Bill) O’Donnell, William Jr. (Linda), Randolph (Diane) and the late Barbara (William) Timmons; dearest grandfather of 10 and great- grandfather of 16; dear brother of the late John F. (late Isabel), late Donald M.(late Eunice), late Dorothy (late George) Mitchell, late Geraldine (late Ray) Kulish and the late Helen (Floyd) Ramsey; uncle of many nieces and nephews. Bill was born September 5, 1928 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late John and Katie (nee Helton) Hein. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1946 to 1949 in occupied Japan. Bill married his wife, Irene, on June 16, 1950 in Angola, Indiana. They lived in Bainbridge Twp. since 1950. Bill retired from Air Maze in 1990 where he worked for 37 years as a tool and die maker. He was a member of Bainbridge Community United Church of Christ, Past Master of Golden Gate Lodge #245, and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars. Bill enjoyed square dancing with HUBS Square Dancing Club, restoring vintage cars, and playing guitar and singing country music. He was a gentle spirit, always kind, loving and patient. Although humble in nature, Bill was looked to for his guidance and wisdom by family and friends. CREMATION. Friends received at the ST. JOHN FUNERAL HOME, 16381 CHILLICOTHE RD. (RT. 306), CHAGRIN FALLS, 44023 (2.5 MILES NORTH OF RT. 422), THURSDAY, JANUARY 25 FROM 5 – 8 P.M. A Masonic service to be held during visiting hours. Funeral service to be held Friday, January 26 at Bainbridge Community United Church of Christ, 17751 Chillicothe Rd., Chagrin Falls at 11:00 A.M. (EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). Interment Restland Cemetery. Luncheon to follow at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations to honor Bill can be made to Bainbridge Community United Church of Christ, 17751 Chillicothe Rd., Chagrin Falls, OH 44023.
