SESTE J. SPERA JR., age 81, of Sagamore Hills, preceded in peace by his wife of 52 years, Patricia (nee Paluscsak), loving father of Erik and Jennifer (Marty) Horvath, uncle, cousin and friend to all, has passed. Seste had a passion for resurrecting all things broken and could be found tinkering on his workbench bringing life back to cherished toys, electronics and gadgets for his friends and family – he could fix almost anything. He loved chocolate chip cookies, Panera Cinnamon Crunch Bagels, a good steak and Domino’s Pizza (in that order). A creature of habit, he could be found on Saturday mornings having coffee with the guys, and later at St. Barnabas for mass-his faith was only matched by his love of country. He also loved his family, Cleveland Indians baseball, classic cars, talk radio, FCYC, his Jeep and his John Deere tractor. He was a proud graduate of Benedictine High School and served as mascot as the Benedictine Bengal Tiger. Always up for a good laugh, he usually entered the room sharing a joke and a smile. His stubborn will helped him beat cancer, heart issues and more. He was admired by his family and friends and will be missed dearly. Friends received at the ST. JOHN FUNERAL HOME, 923 BROADWAY AVE., BEDFORD, (ONE MILE WEST OF THE FORBES-BROADWAY EXIT OF I-271), TUESDAY, JUNE 22 FROM 2 – 4 AND 6 – 8 P.M. with a closing service at 7:30 P.M. Cremation to follow with burial of cremains at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to St. Barnabas Church or the Wounded Warrior Project.
