RODGER ALLAN KINGSMILL age 92 of Chardon and formerly of Walton Hills passed away on April 13, 2025. Beloved husband of Dorothy (nee Obradovic) Kingsmill; loving father of Barbara (Michael) Matejka and late Allan (Maribeth) Kingsmill; dearest grandfather of Michael (Karie) Matejka, Holly (William) Matisak, Daniel (Cassandra) Matejka, Matthew (Brittany) Matejka, Jeremy Kingsmill, Allison Kingsmill, and Sarah Kingsmill; dear great grandfather of Alexa, Michael, Amelia, Etta, Avery and Penelope; cherished brother of the late Ronald (late Ann), late Carolyn (late Raymond) Diczhazy, Virginia (late Chester) Young, and Norma (late Frank) Moore. Rodger was married to Dorothy for almost 73 years. He walked his mail route in Maple Heights for 35 years and loved working in his yard in Walton Hills while riding his John Deere tractor. Friends and family are welcome to ST. JOHN FUNERAL HOME, 923 BROADWAY AVE, BEDFORD (ONE MILE WEST OF THE BROADWAY-FORBES EXIT I 271) ON MONDAY, APRIL 21 FROM 3 P.M. – 7 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 22 at Our Lady of Hope, 400 Center Rd, Bedford at 11 A.M. Entombment to follow at All Saints Cemetery. No flowers at church, please. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105 or Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 N Rocky Point Dr, Tampa, FL 33607 in memory of Rodger.
