Rochelle Gertrude Menezes passed away peacefully at 11:53 pm on April 1, 2022 at Akron General Medical Center. She went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ at the age of 77 years. Rochelle, or “Nana” as she was known to those closest to her, was predeceased by her brothers Ronald, Richard, and Russell. She is lovingly remembered by her son Farhad; daughter-in-law Kim; grandchildren Cyrus (Brenda), Lienne (George), Darayus, and Devin; great-granddaughter Moana; brothers Ryan and Robert; sister Rosita; and many in Macedonia and Twinsburg, Ohio at Our Lady of Guadalupe and Ss. Cosmas and Damian parishes.

Nana was born September 27, 1944 in Mumbai, India. Throughout her life she was known to all as an extraordinary example of resilience, independence, and dedication to family. Her love of reading books, crossword puzzles, and line dancing are windows into her value of knowledge and spending time with her friends. Many enjoyed her leadership in organizing activities, trips, and social gatherings.

Visitation will be held at St. John Funeral Home (923 Broadway Ave, Bedford, OH 44146) from 4-7 pm on Friday, April 8, with closing prayers beginning at 6:30pm. For those wishing to join the family for the funeral service, please meet at Ss. Cosmas and Damian Church (10419 Ravenna Rd, Twinsburg, OH 44087) on Saturday, April 9 at 12pm.
