Martha Horn passed away on October 13, 2022. Martha was born September 10, 1925, in Freudenberg Westfalen, Germany to parents Rudolf and Emmi Horn.
She emigrated from Germany with her family to the United States in 1930 and settled in Kenosha, WI. Martha was educated in the Kenosha Public School System and later graduated from Baldwin Wallace University with a degree in U.S. History as well as World History. She earned a Masters in Guidance and Counseling from Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia.
From a very young age, Martha always wanted to be a teacher which was indeed her career for 42 years retiring in 1992. In addition to teaching history, she was a guidance counselor for 15 years.
She is predeceased by her sister Anneliese Long (Donald E.), Chagrin Falls, OH; and survived by two sisters Louise Gorham (Adelbert), Burnsville, MN; Judith Freas (Robert), Brentwood, TN as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
As a member of the Immanuel United Methodist Church, she was in the choir and later became the church pianist. Her musical interests also included classical music, singing, and ballroom dancing. Wherever Martha lived, she always found time and took great satisfaction in volunteering in hospitals.

Family and friends will gather at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park in Kenosha, WI on November 9 at 10:30 am for a memorial and dedication.
