LADIMER A. VITU (“V2”) passed away peacefully at home on March 22, 2018. Born April 1, 1928, he almost made it to his 90th birthday and was trying to hold on for that milestone as he was always proud of his April Fool’s birthday. Laddy was an owner-operator trucker for most of his life, traveling 48 states and then he made it to the last 2 states after his retirement with his wife, Jean. He was a friend to all who knew him and always willing to help everyone. His wife, Willa Jean (nee Gillihan) passed in 2003. He is survived by his son, Joe (Barbara) Vitu and his daughters, Connie (Tim) Mack and Diana (Greg) Chatham. Also leaving cherished and loved grandchildren, Jessica (Roy) Bish, Joe (Tiffany) Vitu, Jennifer (Patrick) Innocenzi, Daniel (Nancy) Chatham and Mary (Geoff) Crego; great grandchildren, Rosa Lloyd, Royce Bish and Arya Crego; and great great grandchildren, Ford and Liam Lloyd. He is survived by his sister, Adele Sohm. His other siblings, Ann Petro, Helen Novak and Edward Vitu predeceased him. The family is grateful for the care given to him by his granddaughter, Jessica, during the last six weeks of his life. Without her help, he would not have been able to live out his days at home. There will be a MEMORIAL SERVICE TO CELEBRATE HIS LIFE AT VALLEY VIEW VILLAGE CHURCH, 11401 TINKERS CREEK ROAD, VALLEY VIEW, OH 44125 ON MARCH 28 AT 11 A.M. Burial at Crown Hill Cemetery in Twinsburg, OH. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44110. (ST.
