JOHN MACHEN SIBLEY, age 60, of Cleveland, Ohio, formerly of Philadelphia, PA. departed this life on December 31, 2021. Devoted son of Laurence Sibley and the late Lois Sibley; loving brother of Anne Kastelic (late Joseph John Kastelic Sr), Martha Jean Sibley-Schmidt (late James Royden Schmidt), David Sibley (Wandy Beatty), and Mary Louise Andromeda Jasmon Sibley; caring father to Fawn Connolly (Peter Connolly); loving uncle to many; devoted partner to Glynis Byrd and great friend to many. John cherished the earth’s natural beauty and reflected fondly on his time spent maintaining the Appalachian Trail. He loved poetry and cooking, gardening, camping, photography, friends and family, and spending time on the water kayaking and fishing. John was thoughtful and generous with his time. He was a very skilled HVAC technician and enjoyed his work. His sense of humor and devotion to his loved ones will be sorely missed by all who were lucky enough to know him.
