JOHN KALLOS, age 87, of Bedford, passed away to a better place on December 1, 2020. Beloved husband of Joan (nee Farago) for 61 years; loving father of Deborah (William) Dougherty of West Des Moines, David (Maureen) of Willoughby Hills, Donna (Sam) Santabarbara of Seven Hills and Diane Kallos of Lyndhurst; cherished grandfather of Nicole, Christine and Jennifer Santabarbara; dear brother of Richard (deceased) and Irene Takacs Brzezinski (deceased). Also survived by nephew, Donald (Kathy) Takacs and nieces, Janice (Walter) Bahara, Linda (Robert, deceased) Shivey, and Donna (Michael) Lappert. John was born July 1, 1933, in Cleveland, OH to Charlotte (nee Csanyi) and John Kallos, Sr. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He began his career at Famous Supply at the age of 16 and concluded his service with the company at the age of 76. John and Joan enjoyed spending time with their family and traveling, bowling and playing their favorite sport, golf. Relatives and friends are invited to a MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL, MONDAY, DECEMBER 7 AT OUR LADY OF HOPE CHURCH, 400 CENTER RD., BEDFORD AT 12 NOON. FAMILY WILL RECEIVE GUESTS FROM 11:30 A.M. UNTIL TIME OF MASS. Masks required and social distancing will be observed.
