John "Johnny" A. Gilbert

JOHNNY GILBERT - Johnny “John” Gilbert, loving son, brother, father and grandfather passed away on November 12,2022 at the age of 67, in his hometown of Bristolville, Ohio. His battle with serious medical issues in recent years showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile. Despite the pain, John came out a hero and stayed strong until the end.

John was a professional driver for the Amish community for many years. John served in the AA community for 35 years and was well known and loved by them, he helped many people. As a grandparent, John proclaimed that his goal was to keep his grandchildren smiling and enjoy all the moments. This dream was most certainly fulfilled in all the time he devoted to them.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ethel and Otis Jr.; his siblings, Kathy Pontious (Joe) and the late Garland Gilbert); his daughter, Megan Klemens (Adam) and grandchildren Annalynn and Maxwell and his niece Jessica Petecca (Niklis).

John will be honored in a celebration of life on Saturday, November 19,2022 at the ST. JOHN FUNERAL HOME, 923 BROADWAY AVE., BEDFORD (ONE MILE WEST OF THE FORBES-BROADWAY EXIT OF I-271), from 1 – 3 pm.
