Joan Howard

JOAN HOWARD (nee Azzolina), age 86 of Bedford, passed away on July 8, 2023. Joan was born in Cleveland, Ohio on February 12, 1937. Joan’s family including her two sisters, Mary, and Phyllis (both deceased) moved to Maple Hts. where Joan attended St. Wenceslas and Maple Hts. High School. In 1957, her husband Ed Howard (deceased) moved to Bedford. Joan and Ed had been married for 61 years. Joan is survived by her children, Dennis (Deborah), Dale (Jacki) and Cheryl (Bob) Petrilli; dearest grandmother of Matthew, Alyssa (Josh) Pease, Jackson, and Mark Howard, and Michael (Becky) Petrilli and Katie (Deo) DeBord; dear great-grandmother of Lucas, Owen, Mary Joan, Grace, Leo, and Maddie. Joan loved spending time with her family and being with her children. Family and friends received at ST. JOHN FUNERAL HOME, 923 BROADWAY AVE, BEDFORD (ONE MILE WEST OF THE FORBES-BROADWAY EXIT OF I-271), MONDAY, JULY 17 FROM 3 – 7 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial, Tuesday, July 18, at Our Lady of Hope Church, 400 Center Road, Bedford, at 11A.M. Burial to follow at Bedford Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Hospice of Western Reserve.
