Hugh J. Morgan Sr.

From the arms of his loving family to the arms of his loving God, Hugh J. Morgan Sr. (93) entered eternal life on April 23, 2024.  Hugh is the beloved husband of Doris Donovan Morgan (deceased), loving father of Patrick (Elaine), Hugh (Suzanne), Sheilah, Sister Gail, OP, Dennis (Eileen), Michael (deceased), and Brian; cherished grandfather of Eric (Renee), Kelly (Alan), Katie, Kristy (Nicolas), Alissa (Matt), Sean (Lauren), Tricia (Zachary), Colleen (Marshall), Bridget (Brandon), Jackie (Chris) and Sarah (John); great-grandfather of Abby, Emily, Anna, Caroline, Alex, Reagan, Emilie, Kennedy, Archie, Brienne, and Quinn; son of the late Hugh J. and Catherine Moore Morgan; and brother of the late Kathleen, Charles, Eugene and Patrick. 

Hugh is a proud alumnus of Saint Ignatius High School and John Carroll University, earning a graduate degree in Physics. He worked as an engineer for more than thirty years at Picker Corporation. Although Hugh was of pure Irish heritage, he was selected as the “Slovenian Man of the Year.” 

Funeral Mass will be at 11:00am on Friday, April 26^th at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 18205 Chillicothe Rd, Chagrin Falls, OH. Burial will follow in All Souls Cemetery, Chardon Twp. Family will receive friends on Thursday, April 25^th from 4:00 – 7:00 at St. John Funeral Home, 16381 Chillicothe Rd., Chagrin Falls, OH.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hugh and Doris Morgan Scholarship at St. Ignatius High School, Cleveland, the Dominican Sisters of Saint Cecilia Nashville, TN., or a charity of your choice.
