George L. Reeder, 82, of South Russell, Ohio, passed on to his final rest on October 17, 2019.   Preceded in passing by his parents, Walter and Helen(nee Eggleston) Reeder.  George is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Liz (nee Miller); his dear  brother,  Dr. Walter J. Reeder  (Mary Ellen); his loving children, son Christopher Reeder (Heather), daughter Jennifer Halcom (Brad); cherished grandfather to Charlie and Caroline Reeder, and Grant and Braden Halcom; adored uncle to Dr. Lisa Reeder and Dr. Leslie Reeder; fond brother-in-law to Bob Miller; extended family members, Susan (nee Grelecki) Skinner  (Gregg), David Grelecki (Paul Tursky) and Beth Grelecki.  George, a native of Chicago and U.S. Army veteran, moved to South Russell with his family in 1975.  His working career was in the steel industry. In his retirement, George loved spending time planning and building his ponds, hiking in the great outdoors, but especially enjoyed time with his family and wonderful grandchildren.  A memorial service will be held at Federated Church, Chagrin Falls, Ohio at 11AM on Saturday, November 9.
