Fredrick Lawrence May

Fredrick May, age 51, passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2023. Fred was born in Cleveland, Ohio

to Carol and Wally May.

Fred is survived by his former wife Donna Rudnay, their children, Dylan and Audrey, his mother

Carol May, his sister Terry Wells (John), his brother Scott Wells, and his nephew Kyle Wells

(Emily).

Fred was preceded in death by his father, Wallace May.

Fred was enthusiastic and generous, and sometimes struggled in his efforts to see the world as

completely positive. Fred was a lover of animals and cherished his pets. One of Fred's favorites

was Max, the German Shepherd he rescued. They were best friends for 7 years.

He enjoyed learning and reading. Fred took his education seriously. He graduated from

Kenston High School in 1990 and was Senior Class President. Fred earned his BA in Visual

Communications from Ohio University, and studied abroad in Scotland for a semester. He

earned his Juris Doctorate from Case Western Reserve University. His favorite courses were

those that made him think. He will be remembered fondly by classmates.

Fred was raised in Auburn Township and loved his community. He was employed for many

years as the Fiscal Officer for Auburn Township. He loved volunteering with his son's Boy Scout

Troop.

His struggle with sobriety brought him to the recovery community where he made a lot of good

friends. He was a friend of Bill W.

Family and friends are welcome on Saturday May 13, 2023 at Adams Hall, 11455 Washington Street, Auburn Township, Ohio 44023 from Noon - 2:30pm, with Funeral Service to follow.
