FRED J. BOTEK, age 77, of Aurora, Ohio, on June 7, 2018 joined his loving wife of 55 years, Janet L. (nee Polchan), his parents Joseph and Ann, and other cherished family members and friends who have gone before him to Heaven. Devoted father of Fred G. (Georgeanne), Amy (Joe), and Wendy. Proud grandfather of Matthew, Jonathan, and Daniel; Joe, Macey, and Jessica; and Nicholas and Benjamin. Cherished brother of Rita. Fred graduated from Benedictine High School Class of 1959 and spent many years at White Motors and Reliance Electric as director of purchasing. He loved to travel, attend his grandchildren’s sporting events, and he truly loved his family unconditionally. We will celebrate his life at Gilmour Academy’s Our Lady Chapel, 2045 SOM Center Road, Gates Mills, Ohio 44040 on Wednesday, June 13, 2018. A visitation with the family will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., followed by a Mass of Catholic Burial at 6:30 p.m. and a reception thereafter. A prayer service will then be held in the Chapel on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 10:30 a.m., followed by a procession to All Souls Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Gilmour Academy’s Our Lady Chapel, Hospice of the Western Reserve, or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. (ARRANGEMENTS BY ST.
