Visitation from 10 A.M. – 1 P.M. followed by Mass of Christian Burial

FERDINAND S. “FRED” KABAT, age 89, of South Euclid.  Beloved husband of Mary Ann (nee Gusler) for 60 years; loving father of Brian (Kathleen) Kabat and Noreen Vance and also “father” to Jeff Gusler, his wife, Mary, and their son, Jimmie; dearest grandfather of Andrew Vance and Jonathan and Dylan Kabat; dear brother of the late John Kabat and the late Jennie Vavro.  Veteran, U.S. Navy. Graduate of Benedictine High School, Class of 1948.  Member of Knights of Columbus and Slovak Catholic Sokol.  Fred was an active volunteer at Benedictine High School and the former St. Margaret Mary Church, So. Euclid.  CREMATION.  Friends received at ST. ANDREW ABBEY CHURCH, 2900 MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. DRIVE, CLEVELAND,  SATURDAY, JUNE 8 FROM 10 A.M. – 1 P.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial  in the Church beginning at 1 P.M.  Burial of cremains at Calvary Cemetery at a later date.  Although flowers are appreciated, the family suggests contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
