EUGENE S. NAGORSKI, age 96, of Sandusky, formerly of Brecksville, passed away Sept. 24. Beloved husband of the late Judith A. (nee Napier) and late Laura A. (nee Sliwinski); loving father of Annette (Tom) Bowers, Janean Nagorski (Bonnie Daugherty), Gavin (Jessyca) Nagorski, Ken (Cathleen) Nagorski and the following deceased, Eugene P., Donna Kay and David; dearest grandfather of Joseph Nowak, Kyle (Cait) Nowak, Richard Trevor Kay and Eric Bowers; great grandfather of Cash Nowak and Cruz Nowak; dear brother of Earl Nagorski and the following deceased, Richard, Rita and Sandy. Eugene was raised in Cleveland, Ohio and then moved to Garfield Hts., Brecksville and finally the Sandusky Veterans Home in Feb. of 2020. He graduated from Cleveland Trade School and eventually worked as a Supervisor for Akron Foundry and then Thompson Aluminum. Eugene enjoyed bowling on a team with his brother for many years. He also had a love of airplanes which lead to a pilot’s license and many beautiful Sunday afternoons flying small aircraft with his friend Bill Rogalski. He also built balsa wood and radio controlled airplanes. Eugene proudly served in WWII with the 246th Combat Engineers Division and went in on Day 5 of the Normandy Invasion.
