Elvira J. Erdelyi

ELVIRA J. ERDELYI (nee Baranyi) age 96, of Bedford.  Beloved wife of the late Gabriel; loving mother of Susan Riggs and Dennis Erdelyi; sister of Joe Baranyi, Alex Baranyi, Margaret Genes, Ethel Kontra, and Betty Smith (all deceased).  Elvira and Gabriel were inseparable throughout their 50 years of marriage, and rarely was a harsh word exchanged.  Elvira was very proud of her Hungarian heritage as was Gabriel, as they both passed on their Hungarian culture to their children.  She was very adventuresome and active throughout her life and continued to play softball into her retirement years.  Elvira loved to bake and was a very social, fun loving person who had a great circle of friends. Friends received at THE ST. JOHN FUNERAL HOME, 923 BROADWAY, BEDFORD (ONE MILE WEST OF FORBES-BROADWAY EXIT OF I-271) THURSDAY, DECEMBER 1 FROM  4 - 7 P.M.  Services Friday, December 2 at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Church, Bedford at 10:00 a.m.  Burial Bedford Cemetery.
