ELISABETH “ELSE” JOHANNA MEINE, age 99 of Aurora, Ohio passed away on January 16, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Friedrich Meine; loving mother of Michael (Marlene) Meine; dearest grandmother of Gregory and John Meine; cherished friend of the late Kate Sprute. Else emigrated to the United States from Germany with her husband in 1955 to build a better life for her family. She worked with her husband to build a successful small business. Else enjoyed traveling in the United States and abroad with her husband and family. Later, she enjoyed being with her grandchildren, going on bus trips with good friends, knitting, crocheting, and baking. All services are private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105 in memory of Else.
