Donald P. Monda

Donald Paul Monda, 79, passed away peacefully on April 22.  Beloved husband of Beth and beloved father to Emily (Lauren) and Don Jr. (Claire).  Don loved being with his five grandchildren: Elizabeth Poe, Eloise Monda, Henry Monda, Beatrice Poe and George Monda.  Don is survived by his sister Kitty (Monda) Coneglio and brother William Brady. Don is preceded in death by his parents, Donald Charles Monda and Eloise Brady, and his brother, Dean Brady.  

Don joined the Navy directly after graduating from Wickliffe High School in 1962.  He served as a navigator on submarine until 1965.  After his service, he returned to Cleveland and met his wife, Beth.  They married in 1974, and raised their family in Aurora, Ohio.  Don was a Vice President of sales at National Cleaning Contractors until his retirement at 62.

Don loved traveling in the US and abroad, but his favorite place was on his back porch, with a cigar, watching the Cleveland Guardians.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Don's life with a Mass of Christian Burial at Church of the Holy Angels, 18205 Chillicothe Road (Rt. 306), Chagrin Falls, 44023 on Saturday, June 10 at 11:00 A.M.  Family will receive visitors from 10:00 A.M. until time of Mass.
