It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Dianne Denise Palmer of Aurora, Ohio. Dianne passed away on March 28, 2025, at the age of 81. Dianne was born on January 11, 1944, in Newark, New Jersey, to Harry and Ann Richert. She grew up in Eastlake, Ohio, and later moved to Aurora, Ohio. Dianne had a passion for exploring new places, traveling was one of the greatest joys of her life. Whether near or far, she embraced every opportunity to experience different cultures and make lasting memories. In her retirement, one of her favorite places to visit was Florida, where she escaped the winter cold with her husband. Alongside this love for travel, Dianne was a talented quilter, creating beautiful and intricate pieces that showcased her creativity and dedication. For 20 years she ran her own successful business, Western Reserve Home Fashions, specializing in custom drapery. Dianne’s meticulous attention to detail and commitment to quality earned her a well-deserved reputation in the community. She took great pride in helping clients transform their homes into personalized, beautiful spaces. Dianne’s legacy will live on in the countless quilts and draperies she created, as well as in the hearts of those who had the pleasure of working with her. Dianne was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Ann Richert and her older brother Carson Richert. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Richard Palmer; her children Hallie Brezovec (Jim) and Russ Palmer; her grandchildren Kyle (Lauren), Hannah (Chris), Jarrod (Christine), and Julia (Mike); as well as her great-grandchildren Mila and Lucas. Dianne will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. Visitation will be held at St. John Funeral Home (16381 Chillicothe Road, Bainbridge Township, Ohio 44023) on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, from 4:00-7:00pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at 10:00am. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Mantua, Ohio
