Christopher G Freeman, born July 4,1976 to Suzann (Freeman) Gregory, passed away suddenly December 5,2022 at the age of 46. He leaves behind his wife Sarah Freeman, and 8 year-old daughter Dahlia Freeman as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and adopted family.
Chris was a long-time resident of the Auburn/Bainbridge community, graduating from Kenston in 1995 and putting down roots in Auburn through farming with his father after high school. He went on to become a master at most everything from tractor repair and restoration, grain/hay farming, as well as firewood and snow plowing. He was often the first person most thought of when they had a problem or needed a hand and he always made time to help. He was generous with his time and handiness to a fault, creating lasting relationships with nearly everyone he met.
Much of his time revolved around his love for antique Farmall IH tractors. He had spent time competing in tractor pulls, and as a past member of the Historical Engine Society, he fostered relationships with many of the collectors in the area. This led to him bringing new life to many old and tired tractors of friends and family, which he took great pride in.
While Chris meant the world to many people, one person was the center of his world. Chris drove his daughter Dahlia to school every morning and held her hand to walk her to the front door. He spent his time teaching her to fish, she would wash the tractor and his truck Polly with her dad (the truck was affectionately named by Dahlia), and they would paint hay wagons together.
Chris was preceded in death by his father George (Zeke) Threthewey, his step-father Ted Gregory, and his beloved cousin Cameron Toth.
