Bruce L. Wilkoff

Psalm 37:23-24 The steps of a man are established by the Lord, when he delights in his way; though he fall he shall not be cast headlong, for the Lord upholds his hand.
This was the life verse of BRUCE L. WILKOFF, age 69 of South Russell whose life here ended on January 7, 2024. Beloved husband of Ellyn for 44 years; loving father of Jacob (Margaret), Benjamin (Kara), and Ephram (Kay) Wilkoff; dearest grandfather of Caleb, Oliver, Tobias, Arlo, Erica, Mya, Glenn, and Walden; cherished son of the late Harvey and late Glenna (nee Mallace); treasured brother of Louise (Jeff Dinsmore), Jonathan (Diane), and Ross (Pam) Wilkoff.  
Psalm 78:72 With upright heart he shepherded them and guided them with his skillful hand. 
 Bruce’s skilled hands and upright heart blessed his family, friends, church, and his Messiah.  His work life included 37 years as a cardiologist at the Cleveland Clinic after earning degrees from Cleveland Heights High School in 1973, Northwestern University in 1976 (Biomedical Engineering), and Ohio State University College of Medicine in 1979 with post-MD training at CWRU hospitals and Ohio State.  Bruce held the Deb Family Endowed Chair in Lead Management.  His accomplishments include 9 U.S. patents plus articles in the New England Journal of Medicine and Lancet.
Friends and family received at ST. JOHN FUNERAL HOME, 16381 CHILLICOTHE RD. (RT 306), CHAGRIN FALLS, 44023 (2.5 MILES NORTH OF RT 422), TUESDAY, JANUARY 9 FROM 5 P.M. – 8 P.M. Service will be held on Wednesday, January 10 at Willoughby Hills Friends Church, 2846 Som Center Rd, Willoughby Hills, OH 44094 at 10 A.M. Burial to follow at South Russell Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Willoughby Hills Friends Church, 2846 Som Center Rd, Willoughby Hills, OH 44094 or the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
